How We Can Help

If you are an employer working within industries of justice, health care, education, or social services, then we can assist you. For over a decade we have been helping large government departments, small private health providers, charitable, and non government organisations, to develop their psychological services.

Psychologist Talent Acquisition and Management

Psych-Recruitment is continuously acquiring psychologist skills, both locally and internationally, in anticipation of future hiring needs.

Candidate screening is a hallmark service. This time consuming task requires a sound knowledge of psychology fields. Employers needing to consider overseas applicants are often challenged by diverse professional terminology, assorted training practices, differing systems of professional regulation, and confusing professional titles. All of which create barriers to determining the competencies of candidates. Our in-house qualified psychologist has a wealth of experience in assessing different countries qualifications, and provides coordination of search and selection.

We also understand the responsibility employers have in ensuring that the professionals they employ, are clinically sound, ethical, and of good professional standing. With this in mind we have developed robust screening and quality assurance processes.

Multi-Pronged Flexible Approach

For some clients we are an adjunct to their normal recruitment processes. For example, when a vacancy has failed to attract sufficient quality applicants, or when a very specific skill set, or experience level, is required. For others, we help with service development projects, such as staffing new services, which require more psychologists than are locally available.

Employers can particularly benefit from our:

  • experience in strategic talent acquisition of psychologists
  • expertise in talent sourcing using a variety of methods including social media
  • assessment and evaluation of skills
  • highly competitive fee structure

Whatever your situation we can discuss an approach to match your needs and budgets.

Talent Pipeline – a database full of Psychologists

For over ten years we have been building a talent pool of psychologists.  We offer clients access to this extensive database of professionals who have a wide variety of psychology skills and who are interested in local or international assignments. Our database is continually growing due to an active programme of targeted marketing. This includes advertising in various professional publications, using social media networks and attending conferences along with word of mouth referrals from placed candidates.

Asia – Pacific – Oceania Focus

The majority of our clients are located in New Zealand where we are a well established provider of quality psychology staff. We have particular expertise in sourcing and vetting overseas trained personnel for areas of skill shortages.

Psych-Recruitment is also devoted to helping other Asia – Pacific – Oceania employers to develop and strengthen their psychological services. Our across Tasman placement programme supports bi-directional recruitment between New Zealand and Australia in accordance with the Closer Economic Relationship (CER) agreement.

Competitive Pricing

We are committed to developing long term client relationships through providing quality cost effective services. You will find our professional fees highly competitive and affordable with payment plans that can be specifically tailored to your organisation needs.
