The Career Centre
Use the Career Centre to update your details including your CV, contact details,
password, e-mail address, qualifications and employment histories. You can also
review the jobs you have applied for or use the personalised messaging system to
communicate directly with us.
Accessing the Career Centre
You will need a Psych-Recruitment User account and your Microsoft Internet Explorer
(IE) Browser to access the Career Centre. We are working to add other browser types
i.e., Firefox, Safari, Chrome.
Don’t Have a Users Account?
There are two possibilities to register a new user’s account.
Candidate Login Name
To Login use the e-mail address and the password that you registered with. If you
don’t have a password use Password Recovery
to obtain your temporary one.
Password Recovery
Enter the e-mail address that you registered with to have a password automatically
e-mailed to you. It may take 1 - 20 minutes to arrive. Check your spam filters if
there is a problem. Temporary passwords can be changed to one of your choosing in
the Career Centre.
Profile Tabs
- Contact Information Tab: use this tab to change personal details including
your password.
- Employment History Tab: If you uploaded a CV then only enter your current
(or last) employment details along with your reasons for wanting to leave. In the
notes section you can also include any other information that you would like us
to know. If you don’t have a CV to upload then simply enter details of all relevant
employment including a brief description of the role and the reason for leaving.
- Education History: list your highest or most relevant qualifications to the
type of job you are seeking. In the notes section enter additional information such
as thesis titles and placements/internships or anything else you would like us to
know.
- References: Wait until we advise you to complete the reference checks. At
that time we will ask you to enter referees names, their relationship to you and
in the notes section their contact details (i.e., job title, telephone number, e-mail
and business address). We never contact any referees without first advising you
and obtaining your permission to do so.
Jobs Tab
View the list of our job profiles that you have applied for.
Resume (CV) Tab
You can upload a new CV or replace an existing one. The CV will need to be in Microsoft
Word .doc or .docx format. Any other CV file types can be e-mailed.
Contact us for instructions.
Once uploaded, our system will automatically make a HTML version of your CV. This
will be visible to you under the resume menu. Your original CV is saved into our
system.
Should you wish to change anything on your CV we hold the upload the revised CV
from your computer by selecting the update button. A window will open allowing you
to select the revised copy of your .doc or docx file from your computer. The newly
uploaded version will automatically replace any previous version held.
Messages Tab
This feature allows you to send and receive personal messages directly to and from us. This is a convenient alternative to using e-mail to contact us such as when you may be contacting us from your place of work.
To send a message select the ‘Send’ button and a box will open allowing you to compose your message. Then select ‘Send’ again to forward the message to us. We will respond as soon as is possible.
Messages are retained in your user account allowing you to easily follow your progress in the recruitment process. Messages displayed as outgoing are from you to us. Those displayed as incoming are from us to you. The number of messages displayed in the summary can be adjusted as 15, 30, 50, and 100.
To delete any messages place a check by the particular message and then select delete.
Although called Message Board this is a private messaging system between you and us. Nobody else can view your messages.
We are also equally happy to communicate using e-mail.
Schedule Tab
We are currently not using the schedule feature.
Logout Tab
Select to log you out of the Career Centre. You are also be automatically logged out when you close your browser tab or navigate away to another web page.
