The Employer:
The Community Probation Service works with offenders charged with an offence
and given community based sentences. Their job is to make sure these people
serve their sentence correctly and help them make positive changes in their
lives so they stop offending and start contributing to New Zealand society.

The Role: A
managers is needed to lead a team in delivering quality sentence management.
You’ll be a strong leader with an analytical approach to problem-solving,
the ability to manage people and time, and have excellent communication and
relationship-building skills. Enquiries from local and overseas applicants
with a strong CV in sentence management and team management.
The Location:
Auckland is New Zealand's largest city, with a population of approximately
401,500 within the city boundary and 1.25 million in the greater Auckland
area. This represents about one third of the population of the whole
country. The city and suburbs cover an area of 60 square kilometres,
with many of the suburbs having their own unique character. These range from
up market central city area full with compact apartments, trendy inner city
suburbs with turn of the century wooden cottages, sprawling harbour hugging
suburbs with beaches and sea views, to homes
set in native bush.
Auckland is built on a narrow isthmus between two harbours, and is
surrounded by extinct volcanoes and picturesque islands. The city is known
as the 'City of Sails' due to the number of yachts which sail in the
harbours and the adjoining Hauraki Gulf.
The climate is temperate, with warm summers (averaging over 24
degrees) and cooler winters (averaging 16 degrees). The summer months are
between December and March. 
Auckland
airport is the main gateway into New Zealand servicing around 45 airlines
flying to and from Australia,
Asia, the South Pacific Islands, Argentina, Chile, Canada, USA, with a
large choice of connections onto to Europe and the Middle East. Direct
domestic flights to New Zealand centres are freely available.
