Key Focus:

Traumatic injury and chronic pain.

This is a private company with a 14 year history delivering interdisciplinary assessment and injury rehabilitation services. They provide Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) and private services within Otago, Southern Lakes, Southland, Westland and South Canterbury; with a head office in Cromwell, Central Otago.

Key Role:

The role offers a supportive interdisciplinary team environment with well integrated teams with clear role definition, teams sharing client goals that are functional and contextual, a structured in-service training programme, commitment to professional development and ongoing education and clinical supervision. This is a progressive, forward planning company with a focus on quality and continual improvement, fostering research and professional development. It has cyber-office technology (late 2007) offering secure web-based access to case files, policies & procedures, etc. The work has a strong rehabilitation focus encouraging client self-management and long term sustainable outcomes.

Required skills & experience:

You will need excellent time management skills. the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, a commitment to continuing education, experience in or willingness to learn about any or all of the following areas—Assessment & Provision of services to people with complex injuries; Assessment & Provision of services to people with persistent pain.
 

A full driver’s license is essential.

New Zealand Psychologist Registration:

Registration or eligibility to be registered under the New Zealand Psychologists Boards clinical scope of practise.
