Key Focus:

Non Government Organisation that supports people with intellectual disabilities to live in the community.

Key Role:

Psychologists  work within a specialised Allied Health Team, providing a range of support interventions.

Place of Work:

Auckland. More than one employer.

Required skills & experience:

  •  Experience in Psychometric Testing specialising in WAIS administration

  • A background working in the health, disability or social services sector and a sound theoretical knowledge of intellectual disability and/or mental health

  • Demonstrate experience in behavioural management, counselling skills and group work

  •  Demonstrate training, leadership and resource management skills

  •  Ability to provide responsive, person-centred solutions for service users

  • Commitment and passion to overcome obstacles

  • Ability to work in partnership with a variety of stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes

  • Class 1 Full NZ Drivers Licence

Professional  Requirements:

Registration or eligibility for registration the New Zealand Psychologists Boards clinical scope of practice.
