Key Role: |
To provide a range of assessment, intervention
and training services including establishing effective relationships with
parents, whanau/family, educators and others working in the community.
These roles are more than an assessment and report service in that the
emphasis of work for Psychologists is assessment, analysis and
implementation of programmes. |

Place of Work: |
Auckland as part of a multi-disciplinary
collaborative team of educational specialists and cultural advisors. |
|
Required skills & experience: |
The successful applicant will;
-
Have an in-depth
knowledge of human development, learning and behaviour, family and social
systems, pedagogy, assessment, analysis and intervention frameworks, and
planning and evaluation processes.

Preferably have Applied Behavioural Analysis
(ABA) training and be proficient in functional analysis
-
The ability to work with students with
complex disability needs.

A high level of relationship management
skill.

Have or be willing to gain knowledge
about Te Whaariki and the New Zealand Curriculum Framework.

Professional Requirements: |
Registration or eligibility for registration with the New Zealand
Psychologists Board under either the educational or
clinical
scope or general scope of practice and
eeach
year meet the competency requirements of the Health Practitioners Competency
Assurance Act. |

12 level salary scale
progressed by yearly increments from graduation. |
