Key Focus:

Children and young people referred for psychological and/or mental health difficulties e.g.,  depression, anxiety, behavioural problems, interpersonal difficulties.

The focus does not include educational assessment and intervention.

Place of Work:

Psychological services are delivered in various school settings. 

Key Role:

  • Psychological assessment, management, counselling and therapy (group or individual).

  • Consultation and liaison with school and other professionals involved in the clients welfare.

  • Case management including reporting back to referral agents and according to the funders requirements.

Required skills & experience:

  • Experience or passion for working with children, young people and their families.  

  • Ability to work in a school environment and confidence to work independently.

  • Interest or experience in individual and group work.

  • High level of ability to self manage case loads.

  • Flexible and self motivated manner.

  • Results driven.

Professional requirements:

Registration with the Victorian Psychologist Board plus membership of  Australian Psychological Society's (APS) College of Clinical Psychologists, or demonstrated eligibility for membership of the College (this allows for the use of the title Clinical Psychologist).

Overseas applicants welcome. New Zealand registered clinical psychologists note that you are eligible for mutual recognition of your registration in Victoria.
