Key Focus:

Management of a  program for male adolescents who have sexual behaviour problems. The philosophy is based on strength-based, trauma sensitive treatment within Positive Learning Culture offering intensive supervision in a highly structured environment together with specialised treatment. The programme draws from the 'good lives model' of rehabilitation. 

Key Roles:

  • Assist resident adolescents to take responsibility for their behaviour through nurturing, care and effective treatment while assisting them to reintegrate to community and appropriate educational vocational settings.

  • Successfully lead the staff within the program to deliver effective treatment for behaviour problems.

  • Recruiting, training and managing the performance of staff within the program.

  • Develop and implement an operational plan for the program and monitor the budget, reporting variance in performance.

  • Develop and maintain administrative systems, policies and procedures to support the efficient coordination of the program.

Place of Work:

The position is based at a residential therapeutic facility in the Southern Highlands, New South Wales, Australia.

Required skills & experience:

The person appointed to this position will require experience in staff management, a sound knowledge of case management theory and best practice principles, experience working in a therapeutic treatment environment and direct service provision in child welfare,  project management expertise, experience managing budgets, a working knowledge of the youth and welfare sectors, their services and systems and strong working relationships within these sectors, superior communication skills, including written and verbal presentation skills, diplomatic and effective liaison and interpersonal skills. Professional  Requirements:

A qualification in the Behavioural Sciences, Social Work or related disciplines is essential and a degree in management, health, welfare, human services or a related field would be desirable

Salary:

Australian Dollars $60,000 plus superannuation.
